The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) Industry Experience Day

AIE would like to invite Meadow Fair year 10 - 12 students to their April Industry Experience Day on Wednesday 17th April from 10am - 4pm.

The Industry Experience Days are a great opportunity to learn about the local and international game development, 3D animation and visual effects industries. Students will get the opportunity to learn about the different pathways to get into the industry and will be able to get creative in practical workshops using industry-standard 3D animation and game development tools.

The sessions are run by industry professionals who have worked on some blockbuster games and films. Everything is provided to participate in the hands-on workshops and your students will be using the same software that is used in the industry.

If you are interested in this opportunity you can register at the link below:

Teachers VS Students Soccer Tournament

The Student Representative Council organised a friendly soccer tournament where some very talented students showed teachers & staff how it is done. It was a friendly game but by no means any less competitive with a few thrills & spills, the photos speak for themselves…

Formula 1 Grand Prix Excursion

On the 24th March, Sirius College chose 10 students from years 10 and 11 to go to the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Grand Prix included many activities and events such as motorbike shows, practice runs for the upcoming races but also included career-related showcases from Victoria University, RMIT and the Australian Defence force. Our trip to the Grand Prix allowed us to view many different career pathways like mechanical and electrical engineering as well as motorsport careers. The Grand Prix also had a wide range of supercars like the legendary McLaren Senna, Porsche Cup cars, Aston Martin Vantage, Lamborghini Urus and a Ferrari Concept. Overall the Grand Prix was an amazing experience for everyone with knowledge gained and food eaten.
